Instructions to cook Rice:
•
Using the measuring cup provided, measure out the desired amount of rice, see table below. One full cup
of uncooked rice will produce 2 cups of cooked rice.
The measuring cup provided holds approx. 120gms of
Rice and 120ml of water.
•
Rinse rice in a separate container until the water becomes relatively clear and place rinsed rice in the inner
pot.
•
Using the measuring cup provided, add the appropriate amount of water, see table below.
•
For softer rice, allow rice to soak for 10-20 minutes.
•
Making sure that the exterior of the inner cooking bowl is clean, dry and free of debris, set the bowl in the
rice cooker. Place the lid over the top and plug the power cord into the mains socket.
•
Press the power switch down, the Cook light will illuminate. When the rice is finished, the unit will
automatically switch to the Warm mode and the Warm light will illuminate, this keeps the rice warm for
for a few hours.
•
After cooking, allow rice to stand for 5-10 minutes without removing lid. This will ensure that rice is cooked
thoroughly.
•
The rice cooker will remain in Warm mode until it is unplugged. Be sure to unplug the cord from the mains
socket when not in use.
CAUTION:
It is important that the outside surface of the inner cooking bowl is completely clean and dry before it is placed into
the rice cooker. Water, food or other substances on the pot will come into contact with the heating element and
may cause damage to the cooker.

Less or more water can be used depending on your personal taste. If less water is used it will reduce the cooking time. If
more water is used then it will take longer to cook the rice.
Due to the extra water needed to cook Brown Rice, the maximum amount of Brown Rice that can be cooked at one time
is 8 cups.
Special Instructions:
•
Brown rice, wild rice and rice mixes vary in their make-up. Some variations may require longer cooking times
