7. Inspection before start
Before using your Texas King Off-Roader, please check the below schedule in order to ensure that the
vehicle is in a good and safe condition and in order to avoid accidents.
Precaution
Component Check
Brake 1: The brake handle’s opening and the brake system’s reliability
2: The parking break’s effectively
Tyre 1: Tyre pressure see page 12
Fuel 1: Check if the vehicle has been filled with fuel and oil
2: Check fuel and oil hoses
3: Inspect for damages or leakage of fuel and oil
4: Check that the lid to the fuel and oil tank is fastened
Throttle control 2: Check that the handle returns to its original position when it is released
Gear chain 1: Check the tightness of the chain and if it has been tightened as described in
paged 15
2: Check that the chain is lubricated
3: Check if there is a visible damage of the surface
Various 1: Check that all bolts and nuts are fastened
2: Check if there are any visible damage
8. Start and operation
Before start you shall turn the petrol tap to the ON position. Turn the engine stop switch to
RUN. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Thereby the neutral gear light is turned on.
Always start the vehicle in neutral gear.
If the engine is cold
a: Turn the choke to position A ( see 6.12 )
b: Press the start button with your left hand. At the same time you press the throttle control
carefully. Thereby the engine is started.
Note
1: In order to avoid draining on the battery, the start button must only be pressed in 5
seconds and you must only try three times in a row. If the engine will not start after the third
time, wait in app. 2 minutes and try again.
2: The start button must not be touched when the machine is started.
3: When the engine is started, turn the choke to the midder position for app. 30 seconds.
4: After the 30 seconds, turn the choke to the downward position, continue the warming up
until the engine idles.
