To ensure your joy of riding and your safety you should read and understand the information
given in this manual before riding the scooter.
The correct maintenance for your scooter is stated in this manual. Following these instructions will
ensure you long and trouble-free use of your scooter. Your dealer has experienced technicians
trained to service your scooter in the best way and with the right tools and equipment.
All information, illustrations and specifications stated in this manual are based on the latest
product information available at the time of printing. Due to improvements and other changes
there might be discrepancies in the manual. Texas reserves the right to make changes at all times.
Safety instructions
Observe the traffic regulations and remember to drive safely.
Max. speed is 45 km/h.
Always use a crash helmet. Make sure it fits properly.
Loose fitting clothes may be dangerous when riding your scooter. Always use tight clothing.
Use gloves and shoes without high heels.
As the exhaust pipe is very hot you should always park the scooter so that nobody gets in touch
with it.
The steering of your scooter depends on whether you carry luggage or not.
The weight of any luggage placed under the seat must not exceed 10 kg.
The weight of any luggage placed in the rear store box or the glove compartment must not exceed
2 kg at each place.
To protect your scooter you should always keep it clean. That way you will spot faults or worn
parts in time.
Wash the scooter with luke warm soapy water using a cloth. Never use high pressure cleaning.
Running-in of the scooter
To ensure long life for your scooter it is important that the running-in is done carefully. Avoid fast
acceleration and braking hard and make sure that the engine is warm before you drive.
Do not drive at full speed for long periods.
The precautions mentioned applies for the first 1000 km.
