The following sections show an example using the TLC6948 device to build an LED display board with
160 × 90 pixels.

System Structure
To build an LED display board with 160 × 90 pixels, 60 TLC6948 devices and 180 P-channel MOSFETs
are required.

As shown in
, each LED display board can be divided into four sections, Section A through
Section D, and each section is the minimum unit of the whole LED display board. In each section, 45
MOSFETs control the power supply for the 45-line LED anodes; 15 TLC6948 devices are cascaded to
drive 80 RGB LEDs.
