Overview
2.1
LM5164-Q1 Synchronous Buck Converter
The LM5164-Q1 step-down switching converter features all the functions needed to implement a low-cost,
high-efficiency buck regulator capable of supplying 1 A to the load. An adaptive constant on-time (COT)
control scheme and diode emulation mode at light loads enable a no-load supply current as low as 24
μ
A
at 48-V input. With integrated 100-V power MOSFETs, synchronous rectification achieves high conversion
efficiency over a wide load current range. Various features incorporated for enhanced reliability and safety
include cycle-by-cycle peak current limit, thermal shutdown protection, internal output voltage soft-start
timer, 1.5-V precision enable threshold, and an open-drain PGOOD indicator for sequencing and fault
reporting.
