DACx0504EVM Hardware Setup
This section provides the overall system setup for the EVM. A PC runs software that communicates with
the USB2ANY platform, which generates the optional VIO power and digital signals used to communicate
with the EVM board. Test point connections are included on the EVM board for external power supplies.

Theory of Operation for DACx0504 Hardware
A block diagram of the DACx0504EVM is displayed in
. The EVM board connects to the external
power supplies VDD and VIO through test points. The 16-pin header provides the four DAC outputs and
pullup or pulldown option for GAIN, RSTSEL, REFDIV, and LDAC inputs. The other two headers provide
options for external reference connection and VIO input from USB2ANY. The SPI signals can be provided
either via the USB2ANY header or test points. The USB2ANY controls the GAIN, RSTSEL, REFDIV and
LDAC pins by default.
