If a change of COM port is required, select
Serial Port
from the
Options
menu. The serial port
configuration shown in
displays a drop-down menu for available COM
Ports
and
Baud Rates
settings. Select the desired COM port from the drop-down menu. Use the recommended baud rate setting
and click
OK
.

From the
File
drop-down menu shown in
, select
Program Device
from the menu options. If the
GUI detects the LaunchPad™, the firmware is automatically programmed into the LaunchPad™. The
connect icon shown in the lower left corner of the GUI may show a line through the connect icon. The icon
with the line through it is showing that the device is connected but does not communicate using this COM
port for changing device settings or collection of data. The COM port currently selected is for device
programming only.
