Note
: A new chain can expand in length in the
beginning. You should therefore periodically inspect
and tighten it - as a loose chain can jump off and cause
wear of the chain and the bar.
Fig 8-9. This product is equipped with a 2-stroke
We recommend the ALCO 2-stroke oil in a 2.5%
mixture. That means mixing 0.1 l of 2-stroke oil with 4 l
of unleaded E5 gasoline.
Always follow the guidelines of mixture given by oil
manufacturer, however, always use minimum a 2.5%
mixture (never 2%). If doubt about the guideline of
mixture from oil manufacturer, then use a 4% mixture.
Alkylate gasoline is not recommended, as it is 2%
mixture only and can damage the engine.
The warranty will not cover if this happens.
Remember gasoline is highly flammable.

To start a warm engine
1. Make sure choke knob is pushed in Fig.10
2. Pull the starter until the engine starts
3. Press the throttle trigger in order to provide more
engine power. Pull up the front handle guard
toward the front handle to release brake.
Before you start the engine, make sure the saw chain is
not contacting anything. Make sure the chain brake
always is activated before each starting.
To stop the engine.
1. Release throttle trigger
2. Turn the ignition switch down to "STOP". (Fig. 14)
Keep distance to the chain as it will start to run
when starting. Only start the saw when it is on a
firm surface - never in hand!
Adjusting carburetor
Fig. 15
Always let a service workshop do this!
The carburetor on your unit has been factory adjusted
but may require fine tuning due to change in operating
conditions. Before adjusting the carburetor, make sure
that provided are clean air/fuel filters and fresh, properly
mixed fuel.
1. Stop the engine
2. Tighten L (2) and H (3) clockwise.
3. Thereafter turn these the following rounds
anticlockwise.
L needle = 1 ¼ turn
H needle = 1¼ turn
4. Start the engine and let it warm up at half throttle.
Subsequently let it run without accelerating.
5. Turn L needle slowly clockwise to find the position
with max revolutions. Then turn the screw ¼ turn
back anticlockwise.
6. Tighten the idling screw T (1) clockwise, until the
chain starts to move.
Then loosen the screw slowly until the chain stops.
7. Perform a test sawing and adjust the H screw to
the best performance (not highest revolutions).
If doubts always let your dealer carry out
adjustments to the engine!
