Changing from 3.1 to 5.1 mode is done
in the “system conf.” menu (see
“3.1/5.1” on page 20).
RC/Pre Out
The analogue output

“RC/PRE OUT”
provides a stereo signal (“stereo downmix”
2.0), for example for transmitting sound
to a second room.
You can connect an extra end amplifi er,
active loudspeaker or even a remote
control transmission system these jacks.
To do so you require a stereo cinch cable.
Headphones
You can connect stereo headphones
with a 3.5 mm plug to jack

When the headphones are connected,
the end output stages (

) are
automatically switched off. These can
however be reactivated with button

on the remote control unit. So it is possible
to use the control unit with the active
loudspeakers even when the
headphone cables are permanently
plugged in (e.g. when using wireless
headphones where the transmitter re-
mains permanently plugged in).
