Get the Bodypod out of the bag. Open up the flaps and release the positioning straps.
Connect and close the flaps at the feet and head areas with the rest of Bodypod. Make sure it is tight.
Fix the straps with the hook and loop fasteners to stabilize the body.
Place the headband on the forehead of the deceased and press it against the reserved black area.
Slowly descend the stairs. Ensure that a second care taker is present to firmly hold the loop at the head area. This ensures
braking while descending the stairs. Descend a few steps yourself and pull Bodypod towards you. Only when the buttocks of
the ceased are lifted over the edge, you can quietly lower the mattress. Make sure you hold the handrail with one hand and keep
connected with the Bodypod with one leg. Descend at walking pace. Communicate with your colleague(s) and go down step by
step.

The person that stands at the top of the stairs firmly holds the loop in the inner curve and
provides enough resistance to prevent tilting.
Position the deceased in the centre of Bodypod so that the head lies on the black area. Tie one positioning strap around the torso
and the second strap around the legs of the deceased. Tighten the straps by pulling them through the rings on the left.
Use the pull loops at the feet and head areas to lift the deceased from the bed. Turn Bodypod approximately 80 degrees on
the bed and keep the Bodypod horizontal while removing the deceased slowly from the bed. Lower Bodypod slowly when the
buttocks have passed the frame of the bed. Pull slowly until the deceased is completely situated on the ground.
Now pull the long flaps vigorously towards each other. Connect and stick the hook and loop fasteners on the right (and longer)
flap to the hook and loop fasteners on the left (and shorter) flap. Make sure the connection is as secure and firmly as possible.
Never overestimate yourself! Moving a body on a staircase can be dangerous. We thus advise you to use Bodypod
with two care takers. When having doubts, ask a third care taker for assistance of let someone else do it for you. Your
safety should always be your top priority. Practice on a regular basis with Bodypod and follow the instructions.
