5.6 ST1 & ST2 modes
The two main modes integrated in the height gauge range are defined by the names
ST1
and
ST2
. These are the most frequently used modes. The major difference between these
two measurement modes is closely linked to the features (height, diameter etc.) that will be
determined during one measurement sequence. The determination of certain features does
not require an inversion of the probing direction, while others entirely depend on it.
