6 SWITCHING ON
To switch the gauge unit on, press any key. A number of tests are quickly executed as the tool is being initialised before the
start screen showing the firmware version will be displayed.
At this stage, your Rugosurf 90G is ready for use.
Automatic switch-off will occur 2 minutes after the last operation (5 minutes with the unit connected to the mains). If you
press either key before this time has come over, it will extend for 2 or 5 extra minutes.
To switch off the gauge unit manually, press the key
from main menu.
The functions that can be activated directly through the keypad or over the touch screen will not be accessible as long as the
unit is not switched on.
Your Rugosurf 90G can also be turned on in either of the following ways:
– Using the optional remote switch plugged into the RS232 serial port;
– Pressing any key on the Rugosurf 10/10G/90G Printer once connected;
– As soon as the software is able to communicate with the gauge unit.
Note
If the tool switches off when pressing a key, wait for half a second before switching it on again.
