Function
The SINE DI 8 rack system is a passive direct injection box which does not require a
dedicated power supply. The primary application of the SINE DI 8 is the isolation of input
and output signals (synthesizers, mixers, etc.). This is partly realized by interrupting the
ground connection of the signal that frequently causes hum pickup. For example, to iso-
late the connection between a synthesizer and mixer, connect the synthesizer to one of
the 8 inputs of the DI 8. Next, connect the associated output of the DI 8 to the mixer input.
You can also attenuate the signal by -20 dB.
Note: do not connect two sources (front and back) to the same input channel. This
may damage the device.
