Introduction
Welcome to the Tern Physis RF Handlepost. Please read all instructions and warnings and follow them for correct use.
Do not attempt to install or service this component without proper tools, training and/or know how. If you are unsure how to install or
service this component, please take it and your bike to a trained Tern bicycle technician.

A) TO OPEN
the Handlepost, slide the Security Knob up, and pull the
Physis Lever away from the bike. Release the Handlepost until the
Lever lays flat on the joint.
B) TO CLOSE
the Handlepost, bring it upright and check to see that the
Handlepost is seated firmly in the base. Push the Physis Lever until
you hear a click. It should only require a force of 60-80 N to close.
The Safety Pin should fully engage the Sliding Pivot. These two parts
form the DeadBolt™ safety mechanism which acts as a secondary
locking system to keep your Handlepost closed in the event that your
Physis Lever becomes too loose.
