Before first use
•
Wash any loose production residue from the sensor with warm water. Avoid the use of cleaning or dishwashing
agents.
•
Insert one battery into the device’s battery compartment (1 x 1.5V AAA battery (not included)).
Using the thermometer
•
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the device on and off and to fold the sensor in or out.
•
Press the
°
C/
°
F button to select the desired temperature unit (
°
Celsius or
°
Fahrenheit).
•
Carefully insert the sensor into the food and read the temperature from the device’s display.
HOLD button:
•
Carefully insert the sensor into the food and press the HOLD button.
•
Now remove the thermometer from the food. The display will show the measured temperature even after the
thermometer has been removed from the food. The display backlight remains lit for 3 seconds.
•
Press the HOLD button again to erase the HOLD indicator from the display; the thermometer shows the current
temperature value again.
Cleaning and maintenance:
•
Wash the thermometer with a damp, soft cloth. Then dry it with a soft cloth. Do not immerse in water. Always clean
the sensor after use.

Disposal

the chemical symbols Cd for cadmium, Hg for mercury and
Pb for lead. Batteries are marked with the icon shown
above.
