Tacit Fan Speed Capacitor
The enclosure fan is over-dimensioned for the required
cooling airflow, and is slowed down by a capacitor wired
in series between the DEC4 Live fan terminal and the fan.
This reduces fan noise, but also airflow, and it is possible
that the capacitor value may need to be adjusted to
optimize for the best balance between airflow (cooling)
and fan noise.
Each installation is different: Tempest includes with your
enclosure capacitors with higher (more airflow) or lower
(less noise) ratings, which you may install as needed.
