AA-01 ADAPTOR ACCESORY
Connect AA-01 between the phone unit and the handset. AA-
01 will restore the original handset connections permitting the
normal telephone activity.
In addition, you find in AA-01 a two pole screws terminal to be
connected to the recording unit line for telephone
conversations monitoring.
Thanks to all connections made by RJ telephone plugs,
remain intact the possibility to substitute in the future
eventually faults telephone units parts.
CONNECTION DETAILS
Connect the unit as you can see in the following schema. Put AA-01 between the phone base and the
handset. Then make a normall call to another user to verify that the conversation is possible with the same
quality there was before you install AA-01. If not so, probably the unit is connected to the wrongs handset
wires (it must only pick speech from the earphone wires). Please check the two marked “A” strips position
and make sure to connect them to the earphone circuit of the handset by moving and inserting them in the
correct conctats showed as “1” to “4” in the box illustration. For example put strips in position 2-3 to pick the
signal from central wires of the handset cord, position 1-4 for pick from external wires, an so on.
Now establish a normal phone conversation and verify that your recording unit records your voices. Playing
the recorded conversation you must hear the local user and the other side user. If something is not ok,
please check strips again.
Note:
AA-01 use sidetone capability of your phone to send the local user speech to
the recorder.
Note:
When AA-01 comes with TDR40 recording unit, it is equipped with a jack cable
to be connected to the LINE input of the TDR40, for personal use, leaving the
telephone lines channels free to be used for analog or ISDN lines recording.
