5.2.
Connection
Connect the cables as described. Connect the two pair of wires of the telephone line. Provide two
extra wires to connect external alarm button. If desired, provide two extra wires to connect an
external reset button.
•
Connect the telephone line from the PBX to the LINE terminal
•
Connect the two wires from the external alarm button to the ALARM terminal
•
Connect the optional external reset button to the PROGRAM terminal
•
The phone must be connected later on the plug outlet of AC-16 (AC-16 will be connected in
series between the existing line and the analog telephone, PHONE terminal is already
connected by the factory at the RJ11 outlet of AC-16)
•
WARNING: Do not connect the telephone line to the ALARM or PROGRAM terminals. The
device can be irreversible damaged. The device is designed to operate with only one
analog phone connected downstream. It is possible to connect only dry contacts to the
ALARM and PROGRAM terminals (i.e. free from tension and references to other electrical
equipment)
