The outgoing announcement is not clear.
When you record your announcement, make sure you speak in a normal tone of
voice, about 20 centimeters from the handset or telephone base.
Make sure there is no background noise (TV, music, etc.) while recording.
New voicemail and

appear on the telephone base, then your telephone has received a
signal from your telephone service provider that you have a voicemail message
waiting for you to retrieve from them. Contact your telephone service provider
for more information on how to access your voicemail.

differently. If you subscribe to voicemail service from your telephone service

Common cure for electronic equipment:
If the telephone is not responding normally, try resetting the telephone. Do the
following in the order listed:
Disconnect the power to the telephone base and remove AAA
non-rechargeable batteries.
Disconnect the cordless handset battery.
Wait a few minutes.
Connect power to the telephone base and re-install AAA non-rechargeable
batteries.
Re-install the cordless handset battery and place the handset into the
cordless charger.
Wait for the handset to reestablish its connection with the telephone base.
Allow up to one minute for this to take place.
