4.7.3 Security
Wireless Security can be enabled or disabled. The default is no security.
The
Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP)
is used to protect wireless communication from
eavesdropping. Since WEP uses a secret key shared between the communicators, if you enable
the WEP feature, entering the WEP key values below is required.
Use 10 hexadecimal digits for 40-bit WEP encryption, 26 hexadecimal digits for 128-bit WEP
encryption and 52 hexadecimal digits for 256-bit WEP encryption.
Selecting 802.1X allows to authenticate users by means of a RADIUS server.
Selecting WPA enables to enter the WPA settings.

The Apply button will temporarily save these settings. To make the change permanent, you need
to click on
Save All Settings
. At the System Commands page under the TOOLS, click on
Save
