SETUP>COMM (COMMUNICATIONS SETUP)
The Setup>COMM menu is for configuring the communications port. (The last
page on display prior to going to the Setup>COMM menu remains on display until
one of the submenus is selected). TCP Port1 is for communication via a terminal
emulation program; TCP Port2 is for communication via MODBUS protocol, and
Network Settings is for communications via Ethernet.
TCP PORT1
TCP Port1 allows choosing whether or not to display the command prompt, editing
the Port 1 number for defining the terminal control port by which terminal
emulation software addresses the instrument, and enabling or disabling security on
this port.
TCP PORT2
TCP Port2 is configured with the port number for MODBUS. The MODBUS
Register is presented in Table 3-2.
