Note:
The minimum pulse width requirement is different for "high going" pulses and "low going"
pulses.
If you normally drive the Trig
‐ IN SMA with 0V and then give it a "high going" pulse, the minimum
pulse width that reliably causes the trigger is 70 ns.
If you normally drive the Trig
‐ IN SMA with 1 ‐ 3V and then give it a "low going" pulse, the
minimum pulse width that reliably causes the trigger is 20 µs.
External Trig In Setting
An external Low or High input signal can cause triggering. Under Setup select External
Trig Setting to choose External Trig In Setting: High Active, Low Active, or Toggle from
High to Low or Low to High once (3.3 V output).
Choose Port Speed
The default speed is Autospeed. You can also select the port speed from the
drop
‐ down list: 1.5 Gbps, 3.0 Gbps, or 6.0 Gbps.
Note:
If a Port ID check box has no check, the analyzer does not capture any patterns for that port. The
system allocates trace memory for that port to its adjacent port, for example: I1, T1 < ‐ > I2, T2.
Ports Configuration
Select the Port Configuration button to display the Set Port Configuration dialog (see
Figure 2.100 on page 112 ).

The dialog shows the current port configuration. To select a port configuration, click the
down arrow to display the Select Port Configuration dialog .
