Using the
Experiment Setup|ROIs
tab configure three 10-row ROIs as follows:
•
One ROI at the top of the array;
•
One ROI in the middle of the array;
•
One ROI at the bottom of the array
Configure the data display on the
Display Layout
dialog as follows:
• 3d Graph
is selected on the
General
tab;
•
The
Z Axis Endpoints
on the
3D Layout
tab are
%X = 0
and
% Y = 40
;
•
The
Save as Default
check box is checked.
Click
OK
. While running in
Focus
mode, three stacked graphs should be visible.
Aligning the large cursor with a prominent peak, rotate the detector until the peak
aligns with the cursor in all three ROIs.
7.
After completing the rotational alignment, tighten the four mounting plate screws.

Use a 9/64” hex wrench to remove the cover from the Micrometer Compartment on the
IsoPlane.

Use a 3/32” hex wrench to loosen the micrometer locking set screw located in the
micrometer compartment. See Figure 6-12 .

While continuously acquiring data, adjust the micrometer until:
•
The intensity level has been maximized, and
•
The FWHM for a selected peak or peaks has been minimized.
11.
Once properly aligned, tighten the micrometer locking set screw.
12.
Place the Micrometer Cover on the spectrograph.
13.
Replace and tighten the four (4) cover screws.
14.
Stop data acquisition.
