Instructions Video 2-wire transmitter and receiver
GB
Set-up receiver with 2-wire technology
final settings. In case it is impossible to trip
the trimmers for the final settings, please
bring switches 13, 14, 15 on SW2 back to the
ON position, and repeat the steps for the final
settings.
▸
Set a minimum interference - trip trimmer TP2
(this settings will optimise CMRR).
▸
Check the 1 Vpp amplitude of the output video
signal and if necessary readjust by tripping
the trimmer TP3 again.
Remark:
▸
In case there is too much interference (noise)
in the video signal (especially when working
with longer distances), then position the
jumper J1 to +10 dB in the transmitter with
2-wire technology and repeat the set-up pro-
cedure for the receiver with 2-wire technology.
▸
In case the gain needs to be set to values
smaller than 6 dB (for short distances),
position the SW1 switches from 1 to 8 to OFF,
the SW2 switches from 8 to 15 to OFF, and
the SW2 switch 16 to ON. Then position the
jumper J1 to the value -6 dB and continue
with the final settings for the video output as
described in the previous chapter.
Settings:
▸
Connect the power supply to the K4 terminal
(with the power supply unit not plugged in).
▸
Connect the video monitor to the K2 terminal
video out.
▸
Connect the 2 wires coming from the trans-
mitter to the K3 terminal.
▸
Plug in the power supply unit: Power is
supplied to the device, when the green LED
turns on. In case the receiver with 2-wire
technology recognises a signal coming in, the
red LED will turn off.
▸
Power the monitor
▸
Position jumper J1, making sure to exclude an
attenuation by -6 dB – unless you are working
with very short distances.
▸
Set the video output to 1Vpp: set the linear
gain (trimmer TP3)
▸
Set the high frequency gain (trimmer TC1)
and the low frequency gain (trimmer TP4) to
regain the colour medium and to get a sharper
synchronous impulse. Use the oscilloscope or
the monitor to check your settings.
▸
In case the signal quality remains weak or the
colour medium is still missing, please adjust
the DIP switch: Start with high frequency
(switches 1, 2, 7, 8 on SW1) and find the
best combination. (It might be necessary to
readjust trimmer TC1 during this phase of
set-up to achieve good signal quality). Then
move on to medium wave (switches 3, 4 on
SW1 and 9, 10 on SW2) and to long wave
(switches 2,6 on SW1 and 11, 12 on SW2). The
approach is always the same, regardless of
the frequency range.
▸
In case you get a good signal quality right
away, please move on to the next step.
▸
Trip the trimmers TC2, TC3, TC4 to adjust the
