Getting Started

AC Power Adapter Connection

To use the external power source, connect the AC adapter (Tektronix part number
119-7900-XX) and power cord that was shipped with this instrument as follows.

1.

Connect the power cord to the AC adapter.

2.

Connect the AC adapter to the power connector labeled

Input

on the right

side base of the instrument.

3.

Plug the power cord into an appropriately con

fi

gured, properly grounded

power outlet.

NOTE.

Read the AC power adapter requirements section in this manual for more

information about external power speci

fi

cations. (See page 15.)
