Basic operation

Probe input

The probe is electrically protected against static voltage. However, applying voltages above its design limits may damage the
probe tip ampli

er. (See Figure 1.)

Input linear dynamic range

The probe head ampli

fi

er used by the probe has a limited linear operating range. To keep the input linearity error less than 4% you

must limit the signal input voltage to ±8 V (including any DC offset).
