FORWARD SPEED SENSOR

The TeeJet 5000 V.4 slurry spreader program gives the option of choosing
between 3 different speed sensors (Wheel tractor, Wheel spreader, Radar).

WHEEL TRACTOR

The speed signal can come from a sensor fitted in the gear box, or on a drive
shaft, or from a sensor fitted on a wheel, depending on the make and model of the
tractor used for slurry spreading.

RADAR

If the tractor is fitted with radar then select

“RADAR”

and forward speed will be

measured from the radar. Radar and the number of pulses per metre will be
displayed at the top of the screen.

IMPORTANT!

Working in crops that are blowing in the wind or working in areas

with surface water can affect the accuracy of the radar, we
recommend using a speed sensor fitted to the tractor under these
circumstances.

WHEEL SLURRY SPREADER

If the slurry spreader is fitted with a speed sensor, then press the

“WHEEL

SLURRY”

key. The TeeJet 5000 will now use this sensor for forward speed

measurement.

Please refer to chapter 2 for forward speed calibration.

IMPLEMENT SENSOR

This sensor starts and stops the area counter. A pressure sensor should be fitted
on slurry spreaders between the pump and the distributor/macerator, so that the
sensor generates a signal when the pressure drops. If this is the case then

“SLURRY SPREADER”

should be selected.

If a sensor for PTO speed is fitted, then this can be used as an area override
sensor (select

PTO

).

METRE SWITCH

Select whether the metre counter is started/stopped manually

“MANUAL”

or by

the selected implement sensor

“IMPLEM. SENSOR”

.

WORK HOUR ON/OFF

Select whether the timer function is started/stopped manually via the function key
in the operation menu or by the selected implement sensor.
