F. Type “B” Air Cleaner
1. Turn cover to left (counterclockwise) and remove it and
paper filter from base. See Figure 43.
2. Discard filter.
3. Clean cover and base thoroughly.
4. Install new paper filter into cover.
5. Position clean cover and filter against base with tab on
cover inserted into lower left corner of slot in base.
6. Push cover firmly against base and turn to right (clock
wise) as far as it will go.
7. Be sure retainers are locked around base.
G. Type “C” Air Cleaner
1. Remove wing nut. See Figure 44.
2. Remove cover and clean thoroughly.
3. Remove foam pre-filter, if provided, from outside of
paper filter. Inspect for dirt or debris accumulation. If
either is present see "I. Servicing Foam Pre-Filters"
instructions on page 21.
4. Remove paper filter element from base. Inspect filters
for discoloration or dirt accumulation. If either is
present, see "II. Servicing Paper Filters" instructions
on page 21.
5. Clean inside of base and cover thoroughly.
6. Install clean paper filter element onto base.
7. Install clean foam pre-filter, if provided, over paper ele-
ment.
8. Install clean cover over filters.
9. Install wing nut and tighten securely.
