2. BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Safety Instructions

Warning

•  Always connect the product to a grounded 

circuit to avoid the risk of electrocution. Make 

sure the power cord is not crimped or damaged. 

Check the device and the power-cord from time 

to time. 

•  Always disconnect the product from the power 

source before cleaning it or replacing the fuse. 

•  Never try to repair the product. This device con-

tains no user-serviceable parts. Refer servicing 

to qualified technicians only. Repairs carried 

out by untrained people can lead to damage or 

malfunction. Make sure there are no flammable 

materials close to the product when it is oper-

ating.

•  Make sure the voltage of the power source used 

for the product is within the range stated on the 

label or on rear panel of the product. 

•  Never connect the product to a dimmer or a 

rheostat. 

•  Keep the device far away from children.

Important

•  This device falls under protection class I. There-

fore it is essential to connect the yellow/green 

conductor to earth.

•  In the event of a serious operating problem, 

stop using the product immediately. 

• 

Do not switch the device on and off in short 

intervals, as this would reduce the device’s life. 

•  Only use device indoor, avoid contact with wa-

ter or other liquids. 

•  Always carry the product by its mounting sides. 

•  Always disconnect power from the mains, when 

device is not used or before cleaning! 

•  Only handle the power-cord by the plug. Never 

pull out the plug by tugging the power-cord. 

•  Never let the power-cord come into contact 

with other cables! Handle the power-cord and 

all connections with the mains with particular 

caution! 

•  Make sure that the device is not exposed to 

extreme heat, moisture or dust. 

•  If device is dropped or struck, disconnect mains 

power supply immediately. Have a qualified 

engineer inspect for safety before operating. 

•  For replacement use fuses of same type and 

rating only.

Immediately upon receiving this product, careful-

ly unpack the carton and check the contents to 

ensure that all parts are present, and have been 

received in good condition.
