Remote temperature sensor
This weather station is equipped with outdoor temperature and
humidity display. 1 external is included with this weather station.
Batteries installation
1) Open battery compartment on the back of the unit by removing
the two small screws (Fig. 3(2)).
2) Install / replace with 2x AAA size batteries in the compartment.
It is recommended that only alkaline batteries are used. Do not
use rechargeable batteries.
Set the sensor and thermometer
1) If you have more than one sensor, set the channel by
switching CHANNEL 1,2,3 inside the battery compartment of
the sensor. The battery compartment can be removed by a
small screw driver. Press the
TX
button once after switching
channel.
2) Place the sensor near the thermometer.
3) Press and hold down the CHANNEL button to search for the
sensors.
4) Once connected, press the CHANNEL button repeatedly to
view the temperature and humidity of the three sensors.
5) When is displayed, the display will continously switch
through all channels
Place the thermometer and sensor
1) The thermometer should always be placed in a well-ventilated
indoor area and located away from vents, heating or cooling
elements, direct sunlight, windows, doors or any other
openings.
2) The sensor can be placed on a flat surface outdoor. The
sensor should be keep away from direct sunlight and rain.
Make sure the sensor is no more than 100 feet (30m) away
from the thermometer and with minimal obstructions (walls,
doors, windows.
3) The sensor can be wall mounted
Weather forecast
A white light will shine on the symbol in the crystal to indicate the
predicted weather.
There are four types of weather display in the weather station:
The weather forecast is updated at a regular interval. The user may
also update the weather forecast manually by pressing
SNOOZE
button (6). The light will shine on all the symbols at least once and
stop at the most accurate weather forecast symbol.
When the AC/DC adapter is in use, the weather forecast light will
be continuously on. When only batteries are in use, the weather
forecast light will be on for approximately 10 seconds after pressing
SNOOZE
button (6).
TROUBLE SHOOTING
In case the station shows false digits, it maybe affected by
electrostatic discharge or interferences from other devices.
Press the
RESET
button on the back of the station. The station
will be reset to default setting of time and calendar and it will
start to receive radio controlled time signal again.
If you lose the outdoor temperature
When the outdoor temperature digits show “
--
“, the wireless
transmission is either interrupted or lost. Then press the
RESET
button located on the back of the outdoor transmitter. If you
continue to lose the outdoor temperature display, try placing the
transmitter in a different location until you have a steady
transmission of temperature data.
Note:
Keep in mind that the outdoor transmitter only has a 30
meter transmission range in open area with no obstructions. Each
obstruction between the transmitter and the station (roof, walls,
floors, ceilings, thick trees, etc.) may effectively cut the
transmission range in half.
