This product has been designed with some adjustability for minor alignment problems; however, if the
walls and floor surface are not solid, plumb and square, it may result in a poor installation.
This product should not be installed in areas where the temperature may drop below freezing (32ºF or
0ºC).
Use shipping cardboard to protect the product while installing.
Shower base: In new construction, prepare shower alcove using dimensions shown in figure 2. The alcove
should be framed in 2" X 3" lumber and covered with 1/2" drywall. It must be built plumb and square to
insure proper fit of the shower. If you are installing over a concrete floor, clear away concrete around the
existing drain pipe to accommodate the drain body (Fig. 3).
Shower wall: Allow panels to reach room temperature for 30 minutes before installing. In case of a
window opening or for an adjustment requiring a cut, we recommend that you cut the panels with the
help of a utility knife. Plan ahead the perforations required for the plumbing. We recommend that you
use a hole saw to proceed. The walls should be covered with 1/2" drywall or water‐resistant drywall. The
walls must be dry and free of dirt, wax and soap, or any other residue. Wallpaper must be removed. Do
not install panels over existing ceramic tile or plywood.

STEPS TO FOLLOW – SHOWER BASE
1.
Installez la base de douche dans l'alcôve et assurez‐vous qu'elle soit de niveau. Tracez une ligne repère
pour la découpe du placoplâtre. Retirez la base de douche de l'alcôve.
2.
Découpez le placoplâtre sur une longueur de 38" X 4 1/2" le long de la base de douche, de chaque côté,
selon votre ligne repère.
3.
Installez le drain dans la base de douche (Fig. 3). Si un scellant additionnel est requis, un calfeutrant
d'acrylique ou un cordon de plombier (mastic) devrait être utilisé.

Coupez le tuyau du drain à 1 3/4'' à partir du dessous du plancher (ou à 2 1/2'' à partir du dessus du
plancher) (Fig. 3). Repositionnez la base de douche dans son alcôve par‐dessus le drain.
5.
Percez des trous dans la bride de carrelage (3 de chaque côté) à l'aide d'une mèche à fraiser, puis vissez
dans les montants muraux à l'aide de vis no. 8 X 1 1/4 (Fig. 1 + 4).

Terminez l'installation du drain selon les instructions du manufacturier.

Place the shower base into the alcove and make sure that it is levelled. Trace a pencil line for the cutting
of the drywall. Remove the shower base.
2.
Cut a drywall section of 38" X 4 1/2" along the shower base, on each side, as per your pencil line.
3.
Install the drain on the shower base (Fig. 3). If additional sealant is required, acrylic caulk or plumbers
putty should be used.
4.
Cut the drain pipe at 1 3/4'' from underneath the floor (or at 2 1/2'' from above the floor) (Fig. 3). Place the
shower base into the alcove over the drain pipe.
5.
Drill countersink holes through the tiling flange (3 screws on each side), then secure with no. 8 X 1 ¼ screws on
the studs (Fig. 1 + 4).
6.
Finish the drain installation as per the manufacturer's instructions.
