2.5.2 Aspirating
Positions
To ensure that all the wash solution is correctly aspirated out of the wells, the
manifold can be positioned so that the aspirating needles are correctly positioned
in the wells for both round or
V
shaped and flat bottom microplates.
All settings are defined in the Plate Type setting option of the Adjust menu.
With round or
V
shaped bottom wells, the aspirating needles are placed in the
middle of the wells.

With flat bottom wells, the instrument performs crosswise aspiration.
The aspirating needles are set at two positions on the bottom of the wells (front
edge and back edge).

2.6 Rinse
Modes
The instrument has four Rinse modes to flush the liquid system and to prevent
needle blockages. This mode is for use before the instrument is left to stand or is
switched off at the end of operation.
The Rinse modes are:
Rinse: Soak
Rinse: Day
Rinse: Night
Rinse: Auto
