Operation
4.1
Initial operation and recommissioning
Always avoid running the pump dry for prolonged periods (> 1 min), as this may
cause irreparable damage to the pump impeller.
•
Insert the nozzle into a tank, the return flow of the tank, or into a collecting vessel.
Open the nozzle using the nozzle lever.
•
Turn on the pump. After around 15 seconds, the fluid conveyed will flow out of
the nozzle.
The electric pump is only to be operated under supervision.
4.2
Normal operation
Avoid running the pump dry (>1 min)
When the nozzle is closed and the pump is filled with media, it may be operated for a
max. of 1 min, or excessive temperatures and irreparable damage to the pump
impeller may result.
After the dispensation procedure, the nozzle is to be returned to the holder provided
for this purpose.
The dispensation hose is not to be left lying on the ground, as this may result in
damage to it (e.g. from vehicles driving over it).
A defective hose may result in the ingress of dirt and contamination.
If leaks occur in the pump or in the lines and the nozzle, immediately terminate
operation and proceed to resolve the malfunction.
•
Turn on the pump.
•
Insert the nozzle into the tank to be filled or into the vehicle tank. Depending on
the desired dispensation quantity, push the nozzle level upwards and/or lock it in
place using the clip. The A2010 automatic nozzle shuts off automatically when the
tank is full (minimum dispensation quantity = 12 l/min). To terminate the
dispensation procedure earlier, release the nozzle lever, or in the case of a locked
lever, pull it upwards briefly and then release.
•
After the dispensation procedure is complete, turn off the electric pump and
return the nozzle to the holder provided for this purpose.
Also see the operating manual for the A2010 automatic nozzle.
