Installing external antenna
The radio comes with a built-in antenna, but it can be extended with an external SMA connector so
different antennas can be used. Remove the mainboard from the housing to expose it.
Plug the U.fl connector on to the pcb. You can secure it with some silicon glue for an extra level of security.
Cut a 7mm mm hole for the SMA connector with a knife, drill or dremel. Do not cut the complete notch as
it is designed to hold the nut of the SMA connector. The easiest way to do this the right way is to pre-notch
the center of the cutout, and then use a drill or a dremel with the correct diameter bit to remove a
half-circle on each side.
Feed the antenna wire around the internal pcb antenna and place the new SMA connector with the
included washers in the hole, re-assemble the radio and tighten the nut down.
To activate the external antenna, hold the
Menu button, start the Agent Lite/ Mambo Tracer / General/ TX
