GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read all instructions and safety warnings. Failure to follow the instructions in this section could result
in electric shock, fire, and / or serious bodily injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference. The term “power tool” used in this warning chapter refers to the mains powered (corded)
power tool.
5.1
Working area
•
Keep the work area clean, tidy and well lit. Overcrowded and poorly lit areas are conducive to
workplace accidents.
•
Do not use power tools in potentially explosive atmospheres, as well as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or powders. Power tools create sparks which can ignite dust or fumes.
•
Keep children and bystanders away when using the power tool.
•
Distractions can cause you to lose control of the machine.

Electrical safety
•
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds to that indicated on the nameplate.
•
The machine plug must fit into the socket. The plug must not be modified in any way. Do not
use an adapter with grounded power tools. Using unmodified plugs and proper electrical
outlets reduces the risk of electric shock.
•
Avoid physical contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, stoves and
refrigerators. If your body is earthed, the risk of electric shock is greater.
•
Do not damage the cable. Never use the cord to carry, pull or unplug the power tool. Keep the
cord away from sources of heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. A damaged or entangled cord
increases the risk of electric shock.
•
When working with a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. This
type of cable reduces the risk of fatal electric shock
•
If a power tool is to be operated in a wet location, use a power supply protected by a residual
