Shuffle and random playback
To switch to shuffle/random playback, press the PLAY MODE button
repeatedly until

When random playback is active, the repeat playback setting has

Using the number buttons to select a
track for playback
When playing or stopped, press number buttons to select a track by
number and start playback from that track.
To play a track with a single-digit number, press that number but-
ton. To play a double-digit track number, press the +10 button as
many times as necessary, and then press the corresponding number
button for the second digit. Playback starts after the track number is
input.

Program playback
Program playback is only possible with audio CDs.

If PGM is selected during playback, the playing track will be
added as program step 1.
NOTE
Programming is possible even when the tray is open. In this
case, track numbers 1 – 99 can be programmed. After a CD is
loaded, however, track numbers that are not on the CD will be
removed.
