6. USING APPS
System Settings
Network: Adjust your Internet connection settings here. You can choose to connect via an
ethernet cable or via Wi-Fi.
Common: Allow installation of apps from unknown sources/Language/Input methods/Time
offset by broadcasting/Timezone/Factory reset
Sound & display: Scale/Output mode/Enable sound effects/Enable audio passthrough
Update: Local update (from a connected USB drive)/Online update
Apps: Lists all installed apps
About: Model/Software version/Hardware version/Date/Customer Support details
Initial Setup: Access the initial setup menu that usually displays when you start the set top
box for the very first time.
6.1 INSTALL/UPDATE APPS VIA FILE MANAGER
We recommend that you install and update apps using Aptoide TV (described in the next
section).
You can also install or update apps from APK files.
1. Find and download an APK file from the Internet.
2. Save the APK file in a USB flash drive.
3. Connect the USB flash drive to the set top box’s USB port.
4. Press
MENU/HOME
on the remote control, then find the Media menu with the
/
buttons.
5. Press the
/
buttons to find FileManager, then press
OK
to enter.
6. Press the
/
buttons to choose your USB flash drive, then press
OK
to enter.
7. Navigate to the desired APK file and press
NOTE: Not all APK files may be compatible with the device. Only install APK files from
sources you trust. TEAC is not responsible for any loss of data or malfunction that may
arise from third party app installation. If technical issues arise from third party app
installation or usage, a factory reset may be required to restore the device.
