How to proceed with this installation:

Depending on your operating system, you may continue with this installation as 
follows:

Mac users: Continue with “Chapter 4. Installing Software on Macintosh 
Systems” on page 33.

❑

Windows users: Continue with “Installing the FireWire/IEEE 1394 Driver 
Update Module for Windows 98SE” on page 11 (below).

Installing the FireWire/IEEE 1394 Driver Update Module for Windows 
98SE

If you are using Windows 98SE, use the Update Module CD-ROM disc included 
with your kit to upgrade update the FireWire drivers.

1.

Insert the TEAC 1394 Update Module CD-ROM disc into your com-
puter’s CD-ROM drive.

2.

Click the Start button and select Run.

3.

Click the Browse button and select your CD-ROM drive.

4.

Select and run the file 

242975usa8.exe

 from the English folder.

5.

Follow the menu-driven instructions to upgrade the Firewire/IEEE 1394 
drivers in Windows 98SE.

6.

Restart your system.
