SIP server accounts
In the menu item
SIP server accounts
you can determine SIP clients,
that are allocated to the TCS:BUS devices or IP devices (ill. 27).
The menu item
SIP server accounts
is only used, if the inter-
nal SIP server is used.
If the clients were set up correctly and if have logged in at
the SIP server, the green traffic light symbol appears
.
If the clients are logged out or not set up correctly, the red
traffic light symbol appears
.
The status is updated every 45 seconds.

you can make different audio settings (ill. 28).
Codecs are used to transfer analogue voice signals into digital ones
and back again.
Codecs differ in sound quality, the necessary bandwidth, the calcula-
tion requirements etc. You can determine which audio coding process
should be used.
The following codecs are supported:

PCMA 180 kbit/s 4.4 very good
G.726-32 120 kbit/s 3.85 satisfactory
GSM 6.10 60-90 kbit/s 3.8 satisfactory
iLBC 80 kbit/s 4 good
Speex 60-120 kbit/s 4 very good
MOS value
The voice quality is specified in MOS (Mean Opinion Score). A
MOS value of 4 is classified as good, a vale of 3 als satisfac-
tory.

The order of the codecs determines their priority. The codecs are negotiated by the SIP protocol during the call set-
up. The optimum protocol for both communication partners is selected. It is possible that codecs, which are priori-
tised from one device, cannot prevail. If you want to use only a specific codec, select the required codec in every pri-
ority level. If you don't want to use a codec, replace it with another.
