Install Instructions:
Installing:
1.
First, start by removing the front fascia. While removing the fascia, make sure to
disconnect your headlights.
2.
If you have limiting straps, remove and place to the side.
3.
Jack up the front-end of the car so that the wheels and tires are off the ground.
4.
Remove upper and lower hardware from the shocks at the mounting points.
(Shock tower mount and a-arm).
Set shocks aside.
5.
Remove the fan shroud hardware attached to the shock tower mount.
6.
Make sure your shock tower mount, shocks, and fan shroud with radiator are
unbolted from the car. Set aside your shock tower mount and shocks and move
your radiator out of the way to make space for your install.
(Be careful not to
pinch any hoses or wires while moving radiator.)
7.
Next, remove the bumper and place to the side.
8.
Remove the sway bar links.
9.
Start by unbolting lower a-arm from the chassis. The lower arms can drop down,
making space for your install.
10.
Next, remove the bolts on the top a-arm at the chassis. Prop up the upper a-
arms so that they make space for your install.
11.
Cut lower bolts off at the front of the chassis. This will make it so you don’t need
to move your diff for install. You can use the hardware provided to install the
new gusset kit.
12.
Remove the 10mm hardware at the front of the chassis and remove the upper
and lower plates behind the bulkhead/chassis.
13.
Now, we will move onto assembling the Tatum UTV gusset kit onto the car.
14.
First, start by installing FIGURE A onto the front of the car with the welded-on
bung side facing the car. You will just need to assemble this piece with a few
bolts to mockup some areas for the next step.
15.
For additional strength, mark the holes from FIGURE A
(See image below)
onto
the car chassis for drilling. Un-install the front gusset assembly and set aside.
Using a 5/16” drill bit, drill the 6 holes.
16.
Now for the full assembly of the kit, install FIGURE A back onto the car by
fastening the bolts through FIGURE A and FIGURE B, then FIGURE C like shown in
the image below.
The gusset assembly should be fastened to the car through the
6 holes you drilled out.
17.
Install FIGURE D in place to support the rear upper a-arm.
18.
You can now assemble the bumper and upper a-arm back onto the car.
19.
Next, assemble the lower a-arm back onto the car by installing FIGURE E and F on
the lower rear a-arm.
20.
Tighten all a-arm hardware.
21.
Add sway bar links back onto the car.
22.
Assemble shocks, shock tower and radiator/fan shroud back onto the car.
23.
Re-install front fascia back on car including wires for head lights.
