Follow these steps to change the battery:
3V CR 123A battery
Be sure to press the reset
button after changing the battery

Loosen the bottom cover screw and pivot the cover
towards the top to remove front cover.
2.
Loosen the two center housing screws and remove the
center housing from the back mounting cover.
4.
Locate and replace the CR123A battery, being careful to
align the positive (+) and negative (-) ends as indicated by
the markings inside the battery housing.
5.
Press the black RESET button on the transmitter opposite
the battery (Fig. 1).
6.
Test the sensor.

DIP Switch Setup
All new Borderguard sensors are sent out with
each DIP switch in the OFF position. This is the
recommended configuration for normal operation.
DIP Switch 1:
Walk Test Mode.
TEST:
LED will light anytime sensor is tripped. Use
this function only when walk testing sensor.
NORM:
“Sleep Mode” This is a battery saving mode.
The sensor will trip when it sees motion, it will not
detect motion for 120 seconds. Recommended
setting: NORM
DIP Switch 2:
Battery Saving Timer
5s:
Sensor will look for and detect motion every
5 seconds. (Battery life will be shortened)
120s:
Sensor will look for and detect motion every
120 seconds. Recommended setting: 120s
DIP Switch 3:
LED Indicator
ON:
LED will light up when the sensor is tripped.
OFF:
LED will not light when the sensor is tripped:
Recommended setting: OFF
