WATERTIGHT CONE WASHERS
ARE ALREADY INCLUDED.
NO ADDITIONAL WASHERS
NEEDED.
Before continuing, determine the type of water supply connection you have using
the chart below and use the appropriate assembly parts to properly reconnect
the water supply.
THESE PARTS MUST BE USED
AS ILLUSTRATED TO ENSURE
A WATERTIGHT CONNECTION.
THE USE OF AN EXISTING
COUPLING NUT MAY RESULT IN
WATER LEAKAGE. THE WATER
SUPPLY TUBE OR PIPE MUST
EXTEND AT LEAST ½ IN. INSIDE
THE THREADED SHANK OF THE
VALVE (DOES NOT APPLY TO
FLANGED TUBING).
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE CONE WASHER WITH PLASTIC
SUPPLY LINE.
CAUTION:
Overtightening the LOCK NUT or COUPLING NUT
could result in breaking or potential leakage.
With the correct washers in place
(see step 9a), manually tighten the
COUPLING NUT a ¼ turn.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
WARNING:
Do not use plumbers putty, solder paste, or any other sealant on the water supply connection to this tank. If the tank leaks after ma-
nually tightening, replace the supply tube. If the connection continues to leak with the new supply tube, replace the fill valve.
The warranty will be void if any type of sealant is used on the water supply connection.

a) Adjust water level. The water level should be adjusted to the
level indicated on the tank by adjusting the float cup.
See step 11 for water adjustment method.
b) Flush Valve Setting Adjustments:
NOTE:
All other settings will result in either more or less water
and is not recommended.
• To remove the flush valve, apply a slight downward pressure
and twist until the flush valve disengages from the bayonet.
• To reinstall the flush valve, reverse the procedure, making sure
the blue (partial flush button) aligns with the partial flush but-
ton with the dots on the tank cover.
