PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY CODE

The member companies of FEMSA that provide emergency response 
equipment and services want responders to know and understand the 
following:

1. Fire

 ghting and Emergency Response are inherently dangerous activities 

requiring proper training in their hazards and the use of extreme caution 
at all times.

2. It is your responsibility to read and understand any user’s instructions, 

including purpose and limitations, provided with any piece of equipment 
you may be called upon to use.

3. It is your responsibility to know that you have been properly trained in 

Fire

¿

 ghting and /or Emergency Response and in the use, precautions, and 

care of any equipment you may be called upon to use.

4. It is your responsibility to be in  proper physical condition and to maintain 

the personal skill level required to operate any equipment you may be 
called upon to use.

5. It is your responsibility to know that your equipment is in operable 

condition and has been maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s 
instructions.

6. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in death, burns or other 

severe injury.

INSTRUCTION FOR INSTALLATION

TOOLS REQUIRED:

• Electric Drill

• Drill Bits (see instruction for correct size)

• #3 Phillips Screwdriver

• 7/16 or Adjustable Wrench

• 5/32 Hex Key

 

XX-B Storage Bracket

WARNING

The Portable Monitor Storage Bracket is designed only to store the Portable Monitor. Attempting to
flow from the storage bracket can cause the monitor to become dislodged from the bracket and out
of control, causing severe injury or death. Always  properly deploy the monitor before flowing.

NOTICE

To reduce the risk of equipment damage, the storage bracket must be securely mounted to a
surface capable of supporting the weight of the monitor and nozzle, including any shock loads that
may result from rough roads. It is the responsibility of the installer to determine that the installation
is capable of these loads.

FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT

®

•  The pull pin will hit the head of the Screw and keep the valve slightly open

  To close the valve the Pull Pin must be pulled and the Valve Handle pushed closed.

•  Valve must be closed to reset the Safety Shut-Off mechanism.
If set screw (VT10Y24SH250) is reinstalled, use Loctite and screw 
the set screw in only until it is flush with outside of casting.

To make the Blitzfire 

NOT shut off completely 

when the Safety Shut-Off 

activates, use this screw in 

place of the Set Screw.

When the Safety Shut-Off activates, the water stream may change from the initial direction. 
The remaining flow may still be enough to move the Blitzfire on hard smooth surfaces. 
Operator must be aware of these risks to reduce chance of injury or death.
