Disconnecting (Disabling the Energy Weapon)
The energy weapon must be armed to be disabled.
If the connection between the disconnect strap and the Disconnect battery
pack is removed, the energy weapon will be disabled in about 1/4 of a sec-
ond. There will be an audible alert in the form of beeping. While the weapon
is disabled, the disconnect icon will flash on the central information display
(CID):
If the energy weapon was discharging when the disconnect strap was
detached, the electrical output will stop. The Arc switch and trigger will
not work.
The disconnect icon will continue flashing on the CID whether the safety is up
or down. To stop the beeping, shift the safety to the down (SAFE) position and
remove the battery pack. Removing the battery pack also turns off the CID.
Until the battery pack is reset, the energy weapon will resume beeping when-
ever the battery pack is inserted in the energy weapon if the safety key is not
attached.
