Setting the power off generator function
You can set whether or not the time code generator continues
to run if the power is turned off while the time code generator is
running.
1. On the
TIME CODE
page, select the
POWER OFF GEN
item. (see “Menu operation procedures” on page 12)
2. Set whether or not the generator runs when the power is off.
Option
Meaning
ON
(default)
Set the time code generator to continue
running if the unit is turned off while it is
running.
OFF
Set the time code generator to stop
running if the unit is turned off while it is
running.
NOTE
•
This setting is only valid when the time code source is
LTC
.
•
Since time code will continue to advance when the power
generator function is
ON
, the time code generator will start
at the time corresponding to when the unit is turned on
again.
For this reason, capturing time code again and other opera-
tions are not necessary. However, this function interpolates
based on the built-in clock, so a small error could occur in
the restarted time code value when the unit is turned on
again. The built-in clock, though, is constantly calibrated
using a high-precision TCXO, so its error is less than 2 ppm.
3. When finished, press the MENU button to return to the
Home Screen.
