Congratulations on having purchased a tas product. You have assured yourself of an effects machine of the
highest quality, both in the technology and the components used. We invite you to complete the form on the
previous page to ensure that, should you require any information about the product, or in the event of pro-
blems encountered (both during or subsequent to installation), we will be able to provide you with quick and
efficient service via our tas service network.
1 Packaging
By following the instructions and advice contained in this manual, you will
maximise the opportunity for a prolonged period of trouble free operation
of your tas product.
Open the packaging and ensure that the no obvious physical damage has
occurred to the product during transit. Should damage be evident, ensure
that you report this to your carrier immediately, by phone, fax, or email.

2. Transportation
The
Fumo dmx
smoke machine should be transported, where possible, in
its original packaging. We recommend the use of a suitable case if the unit
is to be regularly transported, to prevent physical damage to the unit.
3.Important
Fire prevention:

The unit should not be installed on flammable surfaces.

Minimum distance to flammable surfaces: 0.5 m.

Replace any blown fuses only with those of a similar size and rating. If
necessary, consult the schematics or your
tas
service centre.
4.
The use of a thermal magnetic circuit breaker is recommended for mains
connection.
5.
Keep the unit away from fire, and never use in conjunction with the unit,
flammable liquids such as oil, gas, perfumes, etc.
6.
Should the product show any signs of malfunction, cease use of it imme-
diately. Remove all liquid from the fluid reservoir, package the machine
up into its original or suitable packaging, and return it to your nearest
tas
service centre for maintenance.
Prevention of electric shock:
1.
High voltage is present in the internals of the machine. Disconnect the
machine from mains voltage prior to opening or performing any servi-
cing to the internals of the machine. It is also advisable to disconnect the
mains prior to filling the unit’s reservoir with fluid.
2.
For mains connection details, please adhere to the instructions in section
7 of this manual.
3.
The level of technology inherent in the construction of the machine neces-
sitates that service and maintenance be performed only by qualified per-
sonnel. Refer service and repairs to your authorised
tas
service centre.
4.
A good earth connection is vital to the proper operating of the machine.
DO NOT connect the unit to mains power without first ensuring proper
earthing is present.
5.
The unit should not be installed in areas which are open to the elements,
particularly rain, or in areas of extreme humidity, or in areas which lack
sufficient ventilation.
6.
Always disconnect the unit from mains power whenever it is not being
used or when it is undergoing service or maintenance.
Attention!
Keep the unit out of the reach of children. The unit contains liquid which may be
toxic. If fluid is ingested, refer immediately to appropriate medical authorities
and seek advice. Should the liquid come into contact with skin or be splashed
into eyes, rinse the affected area liberally with abundant quantities of water.
