Operation
The Wizard™ compact finishing box handle attaches to any TapeTech finishing
box by sliding the handle onto the mounting studs on the pressure plate of
the finishing box and tightening the wing nuts securely.
The Wizard has a main handle and a top handle. The top handle provides
multiple locations to place your hand for maximum comfort. The top
handle can also be reversed so the horn faces backwards. To reverse the
top handle, remove the four screws on the bottom of the metal plate, turn
the handle 180
0
and reattach with the same four screws.
To operate the finishing box, hold the Wizard by placing one hand on the main handle and the other
on the top handle. Apply pressure to the top handle to move compound out of the box and onto the
joint. Move along the joint at a consistent pace using the main handle to guide the box along the joint.
When you are nearing the end of the joint, sweep the finishing box off the wall. To sweep the box off
the wall, continue moving the box in the same direction and simultaneously begin lifting the main
handle. This will remove the wheels from the surface and as you continue this forward and upward
motion, the blade will eventually sweep off the wall, leaving a feathered edge.
Maintenance
Clean thoroughly with brush and water (or water hose) to remove all joint compound from the tool.
