shank end of the needle is raised clear
of the needle bed.
Catch hold of the shank end and lift the
faulty needle out from the needle bed.

If you need to replace a needle whilst you haVL'
knitting on the machine transfer the stitch from
the faulty needle noto an adjacent needle. Replare
the stitch after you have compkted the replacement.
