Communicating Directly with Other Radios
You can bypass the radio repeater and communicate directly with another radio using the radio talkaround feature.
This is useful when you are out of range of the repeater, or if the repeater is busy.
While repeater talkaround is active, all calls are made on your current channel’s receive frequency.
Turning repeater talkaround on and off
You can turn repeater talkaround on and off using a function key, if the radio is programmed in this way.
• Press the function key to turn repeater talkaround on.
