New conductive foam pads or replenishments can be ordered through the local Tait office.
The T03-00354-BAAA - Conductive Foam Kit contains 100 foam pads.
Conductive foam pads are also included in the T03-00354-AAAA - Sealing Spares Kit.
Notes:
•
A 0-key TP3300 radio does not need conductive foam pads fitted
•
Conductive foam pads are not included in any 4-Key or 16-Key front cover spare kit
•
A TP3300 radio supplied ex-factory as 4-Key or 16-Key types will have conductive foam
pads already fitted in place from Serial Number LC1850xxxx (20
18
week
50
or later).
•
All
TP3300 radios from Serial Number LC1902xxxx (20
19
week
2
or later) will have SMD
conductive foam pads fitted ex-factory.
No re-work is required during front cover change for these.
•
When converting
from
a 4-Key or 16-Key to a 0-Key model, the three conductive
foam pads
fitted by an end user
(but not by the manufacturer) must be removed from the PCB before
re-attaching the front cover.
This is to avoid risk of short circuit if the pads become detached from PCB during future use
of the radio. Foam pads fitted by the manufacturer (LC1902xxxx or later) are of surface
mount type, so do not require removal.
•
Replace any conductive foam pads where the adhesive is no longer effective, or when the
foam is damaged
